I've lost it. :( The only thing in the world I wasn't supposed to lose. My engagement ring. It's been in Magnus's family for three generations. And now, the very same day his parents are coming, I've lost it. The very same day. Do not hyperventilate, Poppy. Stay positive!! :) A couple of glasses of bubbly with the girls at a charity do and Poppy's life has gone into meltdown. Not only has she lost her engagement ring, but in the panic that followed, she's lost her phone too. As she paces shakily round the hotel foyer she spots an abandoned phone in a bin. Finders keepers! Now she can leave a number with the hotel staff. It was meant to be! Except the phone's owner, businessman Sam Roxton, doesn't agree. He wants his phone back, and doesn't appreciate Poppy reading all his messages and wading into his personal life. As Poppy juggles wedding preparations, phone messages and hiding her left hand from Magnus and his parents, can things get any more tangled? A Note from Sophie Kinsella on footnotes To All my Electronic Readers You may have noticed that I've Got Your Number includes footnotes (but don't worry, I haven't written an academic treatise!). These footnotes are cleverly linked in the ebook edition and if you haven't already got to grips with using them, here is what to do: ·When a small number appears as you are reading, click or tap it and you will jump straight through to the footnote ·When you've read the footnote, click or tap on the number again and you will jump straight back to where you were to carry on reading. I hope you enjoy the book! Love, Sophie xx Sophie Kinsella's new novel MY NOT SO PERFECT LIFE comes out in February 2017!

Ascend: Releasing the Power of the Human Spirit brings us to the foundations of the Judaeo-Christian tradition -- life-transforming relationships with the God who speaks to us in and through our hearts and inspires us to live above destructive struggle through compassion, love, and peace. It helps us to build transforming relationships with ourselves and significant others through trust and empathy, and with God by making and sustaining a vital connection from within. When we are hard-wired to the God within, we break the hold of insecurity, overcome life's injustices, act from our deeply embedded values, live redemptively, and exult in our transformation. Ultimately, we ascend to spiritual well-being by releasing the power within -- the power of the human spirit, God's Spirit, expressed in our everyday lives as a surge of positivity . . . like a mighty wave.

Winning with Purpose
By :"Satch Sullinger"
Published on 2013-09-15 by Ascend Books Llc
Category :"Biography & Autobiography">
Sports is filled with successful coaches, but Satch Sullinger’s story offers championship-level inspiration to players, parents and coaches who care about values and winning the right way, on and off the court. In an ego-soaked era where highlights and sound bites speak to a “me first” societal mentality, Sullinger’s message cuts through the din, to the core of what matters most: mastering the fundamentals of selflessness that allow us to raise our game, lift our teammates and rise to collective glory. Satch Sullinger is the 2010 Naismith National High School Basketball Coach of the Year, a teacher, and the father of Jared Sullinger, a rookie with the NBA’s Boston Celtics and former All-American at Ohio State University, where he led the Buckeyes to the 2012 Final Four. Jared Sullinger won the Naismith National High School Player of the Year award, also in 2010. The Sullingers are the only father and son to be named Naismith National Coach and Player of the Year, respectively. Winning with Purpose: Raising Our Game and Lifting Our Teammates, on and off the Court is a motivational must-read, an absorbing exploration of the power that exists in all of us to eliminate excuses, overcome adversity and achieve success in the name of greater team good. In Winning with Purpose, Satch Sullinger serves notice that character-check crunch time is upon us, that lasting victory in life can happen only when we slam-dunk selfishness and commit ourselves to our teammates. Winning with Purpose features a foreword by Clark Kellogg, and is endorsed by ESPN basketball analyst Dick Vitale. The book is also endorsed by St. Anthony (N.J.) coach Bob Hurley Sr., one of only three high school coaches ever to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.

In AD 793 Norse warriors struck the English isle of Lindisfarne and laid waste to it. Wave after wave of Norse 'sea-wolves' followed in search of plunder, land, or a glorious death in battle. Much of the British Isles fell before their swords, and the continental capitals of Paris and Aachen were sacked in turn. Turning east, they swept down the uncharted rivers of central Europe, captured Kiev and clashed with mighty Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine Empire. But there is more to the Viking story than brute force. They were makers of law - the term itself comes from an Old Norse word - and they introduced a novel form of trial by jury to England. They were also sophisticated merchants and explorers who settled Iceland, founded Dublin, and established a trading network that stretched from Baghdad to the coast of North America. In \

This awe inspiring account tells of total war in throat-burning winds and 50 degree heat, blasted by mortars and surrounded by heavily armed militias. For six months, they fought alone: isolated, besieged and under constant enemy fire. Their heroic stand a modern-day Rorke's Drift. Afterworlds

Published on 2014-09-23 by Simon and Schuster
Category :"Juvenile Fiction">
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author Scott Westerfeld comes a “masterful” (Cory Doctorow) novel-within-a-novel that you won’t be able to put down. Darcy Patel has put college on hold to publish her teen novel, Afterworlds. With a contract in hand, she arrives in New York City with no apartment, no friends, and all the wrong clothes. But lucky for Darcy, she’s taken under the wings of other seasoned and fledgling writers who help her navigate the city and the world of writing and publishing. Over the course of a year, Darcy finishes her book, faces critique, and falls in love. Woven into Darcy’s personal story is her novel, Afterworlds, a suspenseful thriller about a teen who slips into the “Afterworld” to survive a terrorist attack. The Afterworld is a place between the living and the dead, and where many unsolved—and terrifying—stories need to be reconciled. Like Darcy, Lizzie too falls in love…until a new threat resurfaces, and her special gifts may not be enough to protect those she cares about most.

Eight Hundred Grapes
By :"Laura Dave"
Published on 2015-06-02 by Simon and Schuster
Category :"Fiction">
Heralded as “impossible to put down” (Elle), and named a Best Book of the Summer by Glamour, Good Housekeeping, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Marie Claire, and Us Weekly, Eight Hundred Grapes is a heartbreaking, funny, and deeply evocative novel about love, marriage, family, wine, and the treacherous terrain in which they all intersect. There are secrets you share, and secrets you hide… What if your beloved fiancé, he of the crinkly smile and irresistible British accent, had kept a life-changing secret from you? And what if, just a week before your dream wedding, you discovered it? Georgia Ford, bride-to-be, hops in her car and drives through the night, from Los Angeles to Sonoma, to her safe haven: her family, and the acclaimed family winery. Georgia craves the company of those who know her best, and whom she truly knows. Better yet, it’s the eve of the last harvest—the best time of the growing season, and Georgia knows she’ll find solace—and distraction—in the familiar rituals. But when Georgia arrives home, nothing is at all familiar. Her parents, her brothers, the family business, are all unrecognizable. It seems her fiancé isn’t the only one who’s been keeping secrets… Eight Hundred Grapes is a story about the messy realities of family, the strength (and weaknesses) of romantic love, and the importance of finding a place to call home. “This winning tale will both satisfy on a literary level and encourage oenophiles to pour themselves a glass of a recent vintage to enjoy while reading; it’s a tasty treat for wine lovers and teetotalers alike” (Publishers Weekly). You won’t be able to put this “addictive” (Us Weekly) novel down.
